It was an emotion. Yes, he was numb that it was still an emotion. She couldn't understand, though, why would he walked himself to the edge. To the same edge he witness his brother fall off just hours earlier.
See, it wasn't a rational behavior. She follows nothing but rationality. There are no black and white guide on emotions, everything about it is gray. Everything, is out of her control.
If there is no control, if she can't control, she'll be the next to fall off that edge.
